Take a look at what grocery store finds ended up in this dietitian’s cart this month.

I cheated a little for this Grocery Store Finds round-up. This month I had the amazing opportunity to present at the 2nd Annual Culinary Nutrition Conference.

They put together awesome goodie bags for all the presenters and participants and I’m showcasing a few new items that were provided that I really enjoyed and I think you’ll like too!

Simply Organic Pre-Brew Coffee Spices

Looking to add a little more flavor to your morning cup of joe? Simply Organic now makes a pre-brew coffee chai spice blend. The combination of cinnamon, cardamom, and ginger is a delicious addition to coffee. It’s like sipping on specialty coffee from a cafe in the comfort of your own home. Just simply add the pre-brew coffee spices to the coffee grounds and brew your coffee as you usually would. Mornings just got a little more exciting!

BuckWHAT! Noshes

Buck…WHAT? These little noshes are buckwheat super snacks. Using whole grain buckwheat as the base adds protein, fiber, zinc, and manganese. And, it’s low on the glycemic scale so it keeps you feeling fuller longer. Naturally gluten-free and with no sugar added, these are a great grab and go snack.

Kosterina Olive Oil

I had the pleasure of cooking with Kosterina Extra Virgin Olive Oil at the Culinary Nutrition Conference and learned a lot about this particular brand. Kosterina olive oil is cold pressed from early harvest olives, called “agourelio” in Greek, which means the olives are collected when green and raw. The higher chlorophyll content in unripe olives makes the oil greener and richer in healthy polyphenols.

Did you know? Olive oil must have a polyphenol content of 55mg/kgto be considered Extra Virgin. Kosterina olive oil has polyphenol content of more than 400 mg/kg!

Sweet Chili Pistachios

You might be thinking .. pistachios, that’s nothing new. But have you tried the sweet chili flavor? I am not a huge fan of too much spice but the sweet and spicy is balanced perfectly. Warning: they are addicting. Good thing they come in this portioned-controlled pack for a heart-healthy snack.

Have you tried any of these products before? I’d love to hear your thoughts. Comment below!
