Love Beets are the perfect solution to enjoy beets without the hassle. They are already cooked, peeled, and ready to eat, plus pack in a ton of nutritional benefit. See why they are #RDapproved for this week’s Supermarket RD’s Pick.
I love beets, but they aren’t the most convenient root vegetable. Have you ever tried peeling beets? What a mess! Your hands end up being pink for days. Love Beets are vacuum-packed and sous-vide to maintain their freshness.
Sous-vide is a method of cooking food sealed in airtight plastic bags in a water bath for longer than normal cooking times. The intention is to cook the food evenly, ensuring that the inside is properly cooked without overcooking the outside, and retaining moisture.
You can feel good about eating this packaged product with all natural, certified kosher, gluten free, no preservatives, and vegan ingredients.
Along with beets being delicious, they also pack in a ton of nutritional benefit.
February is heart health month. The antioxidants present in beets, including carotenoids and flavnoids, can limit the harm that too much cholesterol in the blood can cause. Through helping prevent LDL or “bad” cholesterol from being oxidized, antioxidants help prevent the build up of harmful, artery-clogging plaque.
Beets are rich in potassium, which is one of the main minerals responsible for muscle contraction, including the contraction of the heart. A diet rich in beets and other potassium-rich foods can help decrease the risk of cardiovascular disease and stroke.
Beets contain two important nutrients that can help lower blood pressure: potassium and nitrate. Potassium works with sodium to maintain the volume of blood in circulation steady. More sodium in the body means more water, more blood volume and higher blood pressure. Consuming more potassium helps flush sodium out of our system, lowering blood pressure.

I love convenience that they are already cooked, peeled, and ready to use. Recently, I have been slicing them up and putting them on top of salads for lunch. For more ideas of how to use Love Beets, go to their recipe page.
Don’t forget to check back in later this week for a new recipe with beets!

Great pick, Juile. Who has time to hassle with beets? But I sure do love them in my salads, too.
Yum- I’ve seen these in the store but hadn’t tried them yet. I always forget to roast my beets ahead of time, and as a result, they just end up sitting in my hydrator for days. I’m going to have to try these out.
I also love beets, but rarely roast them myself. I usually get Trader Joe’s vacuum sealed beets, but have been wanting to try the Love Beets varieties, just having trouble finding them at my local supermarkets.
Beets really are one of my favorite foods!
